Danielle D. Tennison is the owner of DT Books and a proud native of Bluffton, South Carolina. A graduate of Hilton Head High School, she is the devoted mother of her daughter, Donshea Brown. Born with a birth defect called spina bifida, Danielle was told she wouldn't live past the age of five or accomplish much in life. But she defied the odds and continues to do so every day. Now a published children's book author and advocate for people with disabilities, Danielle uses her voice and stories to encourage acceptance, kindness, and hope.

Author, mom, advocate and the heart behind Shea.
Danielle D. Tennison is the owner of DT Books and a proud native of Bluffton, South Carolina. A graduate of Hilton Head High School, she is the devoted mother of her daughter, Donshea Brown.

She is the author of Shea Makes A New Friend, a touching children's book about a little girl who may be a bit different but quickly shows others that she's a wonderful friend. The story is paired with a fun coloring and activity book that invites children to connect with Shea in creative ways. Danielle is also a co-author of Dear Young Woman, a powerful anthology where she and other women share deeply personal stories of overcoming life's challenges. Her chapter offers encouragement to women who may feel like giving up, reminding them that healing and hope are possible of everyone she encounters, in any way, shape, or form she possibly can.

Our books are for all ages.
Can I return or exchange my order?
All sales are final, so we do not offer returns, exchanges or refunds. If there is an error with your packaging or order, please let us know within 2 business days of delivery at support@dtbooks.org.
When will my pre-order ship?
Pre-order items ship once the book is released.
How long does shipping take?
Orders take 7 to 14 days to arrive. Delivery may take longer during inclement weather.
Do you ship outside the United States?
No. At this time we only ship within the United States.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all forms of payment. Payment is collected in full at checkout.
Do you offer bulk orders for schools, churches or events?
Yes, we would love to help. Email support@dtbooks.org with the titles and quantities you need, and we will discuss bulk pricing during your consultation.

Payment
- Payment is due in full at checkout.
- We accept all forms of payment.
- All prices are listed in US dollars. Sales tax is added at checkout where it applies.
- Pre-order items are charged when you place your order.
Returns and refunds
- All sales are final. We do not offer returns, exchanges or refunds.
- Please double-check your sizes, titles, quantities and shipping address before you place your order.
- If there is an error with your packaging or order, such as a damaged or wrong item, please let us know within 2 business days of delivery. Email support@dtbooks.org with your order number and a photo.
Order changes and cancellations
- Orders begin processing right away, so they cannot be changed or cancelled once they are placed.
- Entered the wrong address? Email support@dtbooks.org as soon as possible and we will do our best to help before your order ships.
Shipping
